regexplain is a terminal user interface for building and understanding

regular expressions. As you type a pattern it breaks the regex down into its

|
components and explains what each part matches, and it highlights matches
|
|
against sample text in real time.
|
|
|
|
It is aimed at learning, debugging, and experimenting with regular
|
|
expressions without leaving the terminal.
